Racing: Torino 2006: Sergei Tchepikov (RUS) finishes the Olympics in fifth place
Michael Greis (GER) won todays mass start ahead of Tomasz Sikora (POL) and Ole Einar Bjoerndalen (NOR).
Sergei Tchepikov (RUS, Fischer) was faultless at the shooting range and finished the Olympics with fifth place.
His teammate Nikolay Kruglolv (RUS, Fischer) said:" we are all tired - I`m happy that this was the last race today."
Alexander Wolf (GER) was in eighth place with two spare loops.
His team colleague Michael Roesch (GER, Fischer) was fighting for a medal right up until the last shooting session, but then he missed one target. Three missed targets overall were too much and so he finished tenth.
"The skis were perfect, but at the shooting my head didn`t work in the right way", said Michael Roesch. Nevertheless he will drive home satisfied with his silver medal in the relay.
