Racing: Norway dominates the Relay competitions in Lahti (FIN)
Thanks to an amazing finish Marit Björgen (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) claimed victory for Norway with Marthe Kristoffersen, Therese Johaug (Fischer) and Kristin Stoermer Steira.
The German team around Miriam Gössner (GER, Fischer) finished in second place just 0.7 seconds behind Norway and 0.3 seconds ahead of Italy with the skiers Marianna Longa (Fischer), Antonella Confortola Wyatt (Fischer), Sabina Valbusa and Arianna Follis (Fischer).
On the mens side the Norwegians were likewise unbeatable today. In an exciting finish with four teams, Norway II around Roger As Djupvik (Fischer) had his nose in front on the finishline and took victory ahead of his teammates from team Norway I with Eldar Roenning, Martin Johnsrud Sundby (Fischer), Petter Eliassen (Fischer) and Tord Asle Gjerdalen.
Third place was ensured by the German quartet with the three youngsters Hannes Dotzler (Fischer), Philipp Marschall (Fischer) and Tim Tscharnke (Fischer) in a photo finish which was won by Tim Tscharnke for his team against the Russians with Artem Zhmurko, Maxim Vylegzhanin (Fischer), Petr Sedov (Fischer) and Ilia Chernousov (Fischer).
